Roasting vegetables and mysterious parcels

Day two of Weight Watchers seems to be going alright - largely because I fell asleep for a chunk of the afternoon and so didn't have lunch. My planned lunch of chicken breast and roast butternut squash, carrot, onion, red pepper, mushroom and cherry tomatoes is currently cooking as my dinner. On the other hand, that's a lot of food for not very many points and a 50 minute walk to Sainsbury's, Homebase and back has given me an additional couple of points for the day. I've even had one of the new Cadbury's Hot Chocolate Chunks to drink using some of my milk allowance and will be having a nice glass of Merlot with dinner.

When I went out for my wander I discovered a card indicating I missed a delivery of a package. I wonder if this is the Guitar Hero microphone I ordered weeks ago finally reappearing from wherever missing parcels disappear to in the depths of the Royal Mail. Strange, though, that I missed the delivery considering I was here at the time and I was before my extended nap. Did they actually knock?

I'm determined to reorganise my kitchen tomorrow. The trip to Homebase was in order to pick up wall mounted brackets for the microwave, which I've been thinking about doing for an awfully long time. It always takes me ages to do these little DIY things though - witness the lock on my cupboard door, which I still haven't fitted. At least I should have a bit more work surface space, and I will take the opportunity to give the kitchen a good going over. I shall be consulting my copy of The Cleaning Bible later on to see what would work best. This might lead on to a reorganisation of the living room, although really there's not much I can do in here.

Then I think I shall turn my attention back to the family tree.
