Bringing in the green

The reorganisation of the kitchen has given me an opportunity to put some greenery in the flat where Titan, so far, has been unable to reach it. Amazing how much space a microwave takes up really. Since I've wall-mounted it, I now have electrical bits and pieces in one corner (toaster, slow cooker, hand blender) along with my knife block, which had been on the window sill, and scales which has freed up space in one of the cupboards. I've moved the mug trees from the window sill to the worksurface dividing the kitchen from the living room and have made much better use of the space in the cupboard which was basically where I shoved everything else, in addition to my crockery, when I moved in because I was fed up with unpacking. The window sill is now occupied by a mini rose and today's purchase which was an Aloe Vera.

The diet is still going well. At least I'm not worrying too much about over stocking the fridge with veg at the moment - I'm actually eating it instead of it sitting there waiting to be thrown away after it goes off. I did myself stewed plums with 40g of Sainsbury's High Fibre Bran Cereal for breakfast this morning which was very nice. I've just had a banana and the remainder of the plums for lunch, although I might do myself a salad sandwich in a minute. I'm planning on having enough points left for a dessert with dinner this evening and it certainly looks doable.

I'd say the living room could do with a makeover too, I just don't have space available to move things. Will continue giving it thought.
