Another day at the Grandparents', but at least it wasn't raining today. This meant I could spend the nearly hour and three quarters needed in the garden to finally clear the border I've been wanting to do for ages and have planted out the remaining petunias. It's not perfect, but it's looking a lot better.
In the greenhouse, the courgettes are sprouting nicely and I think all six will come up. The spring onions are finally showing, there are signs that the lollo rosso is starting to come through, and the rocket and broccoli are doing well. Cucumber, peppers and tomatoes all seem happy enough, but I will have to weed the little gem lettuce.
Still haven't finished the kitchen. It is looking better than it was, but after doing lunch for the Grandparents and the gardening I didn't feel like starting immediately after I got home. Thought I might after I had dinner (veg heavy spag bol and only 5 1/2 points too) but Midsomer Murders was on and it turned out to be one I hadn't seen so I watched that instead. Don't have to go anywhere tomorrow, I can finish cleaning the kitchen then. I've been wondering whether a hanging rack for the saucepans might be practical. It would give me a very large drawer free, but might make the place a little overcrowded.
I think I need to make myself some of the rich hand oil I made up for Mum. My hands are ever so dry and when I put some handcream on earlier my right knuckles didn't take to it well. Maybe the oil will be a bit better. I'm also coming to the conclusion that the very dry patch on my left arm that has been there forever might actually be mild eczema. It gets quite sore at times.
Curiosity got the better of me this morning and I weighed myself, even though I'm only halfway through the first week. I've lost a pound and a half since Sunday. Woohoo! We'll see what the "official" weigh in on Sunday says.
